Hey Swo.man you didn't finish off what you were saying.  I know where the Mount
Hotel is, I have  been in there a few times.  That pub near the traffic lights is it called The Stagg?  Yes I believe Sgt Carthy died of a heart attack, he was a great bloke could twist him round my little finger LOL.  You must remember my best mate at Haydock Jac Hurley, we were always together, she worked in the Accounts Office and I worked in General Office.  Do you know the lady that worked in the mail Office, she was a civvy, she was OK too. Got to go will speak soon.

Hi Swo.man, I believe you live just down the road from me, been through there time and time again.  There's a big Pub on the corner next to the traffic lights (can't remember the name, ah was it The Orrell Post pub) and there use to be a motorcycle shop next door.

If you were at Haydock the same time as me you will know all the people I know 63-65 (was posted to Nocton Hall when it was dewrafed) remember Cpl Andy Richards (Police), Sgt Carthy my boss in General Office.  If you go to page five there is a photo of me and Pam Smith outside the Spiders Web Club acting the fools LOL

Speak soon Red Setter

I would like to hear from you regarding any personnel that was at RAF Haydock the same time as me 1962 - 1964.  Do you know any of the people that have already been mentioned.

Do you remember Janet O'Dell, General Office, Jac Hurley, Accounts we both were friendly with Pam Smith, who was in the same room as us, she married an American and went to live in the States.  Do you also remember Andy Richards who was in the Police.  Can you tell me the name of the WO who was in charge of the mess.  Jac and I have been racking our brains but cannot think of his name.

Hi Steve

Was that photo taken coming off camp onto Clipsey Lane?  The other photo you have can you make that larger, as it won't let me enlarge it for some reason.  Alan the PTI use to train me in the high jump and 100 meters, the playing field were just behind the WRAF block.

Hi Steve

You must remember Jaq (Alexesian1), Janet (Red Setter) Pam Smith.  Jaq worked in Accounts, me GO and Pam in PBX, we were great friends.  If you worked in GO then you will know Sgt Carthy and I remember Alan, small guy with blonde hair.  Do you remember the Cpl that worked in GO I can't remember his name.  You will also know Rosin Mullen.  Can you remember the WO that was in the Mess, he was a lovely guy, he made my 21st cake and we had the party in the spiders Web.

Let me know who you remember.

Hi Steve

You must remember me and my friend Jaq, because we were there at that time, she has posted some photos of when we were there, outside the Spiders Web Club.  We both use to take the money when the dances were held on a Thursday night.  Do you remember Andy Richards (police) and Spud Murphy.  Boy what a time we had there, let me know of any of your memories while you were there.

Best wishes

Hi Jamie

Just a quick note, I am not always on this computer you know, I think it might seem like that to you, I do have things to do LOL.

Yes is certainly is me.  I was at Haydock late 63 to 65 and left when it was dewrafed.

Yes I can remember that Cpl having some sort of skin complaint and he was a holy terror if you got on the wrong side of him, but Sgt Carthy was always on my side. LOL

The CO's Office was down the corridor on the right hand side.  When we raided the RAF Block both Jac and I had to go and see him, we thought we would both be on a charge, but he just told us the next time we did it to take some string with us, tie all the doors together then bang on them all and run like hell back to our block LOL.  We had some good time there I was so sad when we all had to leave.

Speak soon.
