Frances Dick [ nee Fleck] was born to James Fleck/flack in 1824  and died a few years later in 1857 she was born to James with his first wife who we think might have had the name Eliza could have had the surname of one of Frances's middle names but not sure. They also had we think several more children two of whom were James the first one died young and the second took his name which was usual to do then. Frances married William Dick in 1848 and had two daughters Catherine in 1851 and Sophia a couple of years later. Found her tombstone in Islandmagee not easy to read, this that her mother might be buried in the same area but couldn't find it when we visited a couple of years ago. Have got more information on the Dicks as well.

I don't know if this will be of any use to you. My gt.gt.grandfather was James Flack  born in 1794 his first wifes name was Eliza  he had 7/9 children by that marriage his first daughters name was Frances [she was born 1824] who married into the Dick family of Islandmagee they married in 1848. His second wifes name was Eleanor shortened to Ellen they had 8 children of which I originate from [the James who was 11 was from the second marriage].  I know James and Ellen had a daughter Ellen born in  and I know he had a daughter Ellen from his first marriage but don't know when she was born. His first child from his second marriage was called Sophia born in 1844. When his first children were getting married he was having his second lot of children so your Ellen could well have been from the first marriage. we are gradually getting more information about his two wives and all the children. We do know that from his first marriage the names were Fleck second marriage they were Flack [my maiden name. The names on the Islandmagee New Cemetery I am not sure about but they could all have been James grandchildren or gt. grandchildren will have to find that out. I was over in Islandmagee this October and went to the graves in Ballpriormore cemetery. Hope this helps you all a bit.
Rosemary.
