That's great info!!!

Free DBM has the following for Births Jun 1845

Surname     First name(s)       District                     Vol     Page

RICHARDSON    William        Chester le Street    24   41
RICHARDSON    William         Gateshead            24   16
RICHARDSON    William         Teesdale                    24   341

The first one will be worth ordering and x-ref with parents names.

Thanks everyone

Thanks for the info. I just hope he was registered in Chester-Le-Street...and not born and registered elsewhere in Co. Durham.

Durham / William RICHARDSON - Lamesley - Birth Details Sought approx. 1846

I am trying to track down the actual date of William Richardson's birth. I have a good estimate of 1846 +/- 1 year. The town Lamesley crops up a lot in the family history here - he was down as a five year old on the 1851 census in Lamesley.

FREE BDM has a few hits but not sure which might be his  ??? Any advice would be grand.

His parents were James Richardson and Jane Maddison.

Out of interest would any one know which District Lamesley would fall under for registering births?

Thanks

Hello

I did yes - some unrelated Lobbans too far south but nothing concrete on Lobbins in the north east unfortunately.

Durham / Eleanor Lobbin & Thomas Smith - Durham

Hello - I am researching back on my father's side and have encountered one of those brick walls. I have a Thomas Smith (born ~1796 - not been able to nail his birth date just yet) marrying a certain Eleanor Lobbin (born ~1793 - est. from census returns). From the Durham Records Online I got the following marriage details:

Marriage to Thomas Smith
St. Mary's Parish Church (Anglican), Whitburn, Durham
Thomas Smith (bachelor), of this parish married Eleanor Lobbin (spinster), of this parish

Lobbin may be a spelling mistake but I've not registered anyone close with that surname in the Durham area. Wonder if anyone has run into a similar issue.

Morning folks. Firstly many, many thanks for the replies. Some definite areas to further explore on the Humble front. And some of the dates re marriage/census data tie up with the research I currently have.

Now, seeking the Humble's of Chester-Le-Street  ;D

Indeed - flourishes a plenty. Father William Clark (son Joseph on this BC). Location is the North East - Sunderland. After watching Who Do You Think You Are with Kate Humble recently I thought it too much of a coincidence...
