Hi There. I think we have a connection. I am married to Marian Brougham, Grand Daughter of James Brougham. Her father was Henry Brougham. We are obviously doing the same research and could probably usefully share info. BTW I think James was a member of the Irish Volunteers. He sided with the pro-treaty side. I have a photo of him in Free State Army UNiform. I have also found his grave and recently left a note asking for the person who tends the grave to make contact. Theres lots more.
