Derbyshire Lookup Requests / derbyshire records office
« on: Monday 04 March 13 18:30 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I don't know if I am in the right section but here goes.

Can anyone going to Derbyshire Records Office look up some info for me. I have been in touch with them and the info I require are contained in dvds 255 and 256. They are the admissions records of Belper Workhouse 1840 to 1847. I am looking for Josiah Roose or Rouse admitted between April 1841 and about 1844 when the last female in the family died. He would have been about 2 or 3 at the time. I don't know what info is contained in these records so whatever is there is welcome.

Thanks

Pat Baron

Hi Alexander
Thanks so much for that. I would never have looked on the other page.
That is now another dead end in trying to find my great grandmother.
Regards,
Pat

I don't know if I am on the right forum but I am looking for someone to help how I can find anymore info on a baptism record I have found.
It is from the catholic records from St Albans RC Church Liverpool in 1859 but does'nt give any Parents names.
Can I find anymore info from the Records Office or will this be a dead end.
Thanks.

Hi

I am stuck as to where to look for a distant ancestor. He is in the 1841 census living in Bolehill derbyshire, in 1844 He was sent to prison for forgery but after this there are no records of any marriage or death. Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards
Pat
