I have Charles Edward Thiele coming to the UK from Germany and have traced his family in Manchester from then. All I k now about his past is that he was born in Dresden around 1853 and that his father Charles was an innkeeper in Dresden. Can anyone help with more info on his parents. d.o.b's and wedding etc.
Thanks

To Golspie
Sorry haven't answered for ages due to illness. Yes their son Alexander 1809 -1855 was married to Christina McNair. Do you want to know more of their family and are you researching either of them?

Germany: Dresden: Thiele

I am looking for information on the father of Charles Edward Thiele (1853-1903 )who came to the UK; kept his German Nationality; worked as a restaurant waiter and was married in Manchester in 1882. His marriage certificate lists his father as Charles Adolph Thiele, Inn-Keeper, deceased. That's all I know of him. Can anyone fill the gaps with details of Charles Adolph's dob and dod and do  marriage and details of his wife and ancestors.
Hopefully

« on: Sunday 01 March 09 10:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
From Census records 1841 onward to 1881 I have Henry Bramley listed. In 1881 for example he is described as age 60 occupation potato dealer and born in Lower Kellet, Lancs. However I can't find any listing of his birth so don't know who his parents were. Can anyone please help?
Thanks

Hi everybody
and thanks for your help.
James was born on May 1864 in Kilmun, Argyll, Scotland. His parents were farmer John Ewing Crawford 1832-1908 and Mary McCaul 1845-1889. As he died at age 23/24 he may have been unmarried - anyway I have no knowledge of this either way.
Thanks again

« on: Wednesday 25 February 09 16:05 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I'm trying to find date and cause of death of Christina McNair who was born in Scotland in 1814. Last info I have on her states that she appears in the US Census for 1880 - living with the Cook Family in New Hampshire.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
