Canada Lookup Request / Re: Tollman Twins
« on: Thursday 26 February 09 16:23 GMT (UK)  »
If you search http://www.canada411.ca/ for Tollman you get limited entries.  One is for A.R. Tollman in Brockville, Ontario (eastern Ontario on the St. Lawrence River between Kingston and Cornwall) and a J. Tollman in Hillsboro  (not sure where that is).  Addresses and telephone numbers are on the website.  Sounds as if the first one would be a good match for a relative.

Hi Debbie

Very useful, thank you for the link , will follow this up

Ramdaskm, I would just like to say I have had two very good matches to my husbands family on Tribal Pages, these have really helped get that side of the family history going, so thanks very much.

the gripe was the lack of support over the xmas period from TT admin.

not about poor help from members.

It's refreshing to see a response from Ramdaskm..

I am pleased to report that my TP site has finally been fixed by TP support.
In fairness, it was over a holiday period and they were probably under staffed, however, I still feel that communication between TP and it's subscribers  leaves a lot to be desired..

I have never been one to frequent their Message Boards

and I hope you never need to,

I don't 'frequent' notice boards either, but when things go wrong it's the only place to voice your problem..

Have a read on the TP technical forum and you'll see what I mean..

An email from another malcontent on Tribal Pages

Quote
Thanks for your answer..WHAT can we do about this lack of response?!

I am answering this from my webtv...so at least got your message...but would not be able to read it on the Forum page as I can see no messages posted since Dec 14!

I am really frustrated...and have forwarded the Forum pages to TP so they

can see what I and some others are seeing.

I got ONE email from TP support-3 weeks go..saying that there was no problem?!

You'd better email me directly at either *******@webtv.net or ******@aol.com-in case messages from the message boards won't go thru as I never know what is going on! If I don't get something-I don't it's been sent(?)

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS CRUMMY TREATMENT?!

At least we deserve the common courtesy of a response!

Any suggestions?
