Yes, will do. Guernsey was indeed occupied from June 30th 1940 to May 9th 1945. Some 2000 Channel Islanders were deported during this time to prison camps, most notably for Guernsey people the one in Biberach. A short report can be found here:

Hi Stewart,

many thanks for checking. I will check that record- I've found a reference to Mary Jane elsewhere which seems to suggest she might have lived until 1922. However, one of her sons lived in Radipole, Dorset so your suggestion makes sense! Unfortunately there's no burial record for that Mary Jane Henry within the Dorset burial registers- wouldn't want to make it easy, now, would we!!

  Best wishes, Andy

Hi all,

I have been unable to trace the death records for George Henry b. abt 1846, St. Brelade, Jersey, son of William Henry and his wife Elizabeth Williams- George was last recorded in the 1891 census in St. Brelade, Jersey, boarding at St Brelade Farm, occupation painter; and for his wife Mary Jane Henry née Reynolds b. 5 Aug 1851 St Aubin, St. Brelade, Jersey dtr of Francis Freshfield Reynolds and his wife Mary Hill- Mary Jane Henry last appears in the 1901 census in St Peter Port, Guernsey, but there is no death record for her in Guernsey. Could someone please check the Jersey death records for me? Many thanks, Andy Smith, Guernsey.

Jill,

many thanks for the reply- I am confident this was a first marriage, at least for Francis- and the witnesses are very useful. Richard was indeed Francis' father.

 Best regards, Andy

Many thanks for that, Steve. If anyone has access to the full record I'd appreciate any further data it might hold.

Hi all,

am looking for the date of the marriage, believed to have been in early 1828, between Francis F. Reynolds of Guernsey and Julia Wiglesworth of Henley, and any further information that might be in the record.

 Many thanks,

Andy Smith, 3x Gt. Grandson of Francis.

According to the baptism records on Jerripedia, most likely candidate for Marie Le Sueur would be the one baptised in St.Helier 2nd May 1613, daughter of Benjamin Le Sueur- no mother recorded, but godparents were her father and Thomas Gruchie. There were also other Marie Le Sueurs recorded, baptised 5 Feb 1617 and 29 Oct 1600. Marie was from the Mont au Pretre region of St.Helier.
