Am finding replies on this topic very helpful. Thankyou all. I am looking for birth registration of Karl Heinrich Kubler born 23 May 1848. He was born in Basel.  His father's place of origin was Basel so I need to get my hands on surnames a complete register by Picton Press to find out appropriate register office. Is the right ????

Yes that's him and his family alright. He is in the 1911 census also. As far as I know he left for Glasgow sometime after 1911 and died in Glasgow in the 1930's. Thanks for your help  :)

I am looking for any records for a Bill (William Kubler) who I think was injured in ww1 . He was born in Dublin 1891, moved to Scotland after 1911 . I recently found a photo of him . On the back of the photo it said he had his leg blown off during ww1. No luck looking up National Archives Uk .  Thanks in advance brianog

If you are invalided out of the armed forces I wonder do you receive a pension. Charles Ryan died in 1925 his occupation on his death registration says pensioner.  Thanks for all  your help. Brianog
