Merionethshire / Re: Griffith Thomas
« on: Friday 16 May 25 10:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi Commission, I have read with interest your posts of 2017 of Griffith Thomas and his wife. Griffith is the father of Humphrey Thomas who married Elizabeth Lloyd. Humphrey and Elizabeths daughter Margaret Thomas b 1854 Cynwyd married Robert William Evans b 1854-55. It is with their son Robert William Evans b 1875 Cynwyd died 1913 Senghenydd who married Emma Coleman that we are linked.
I have not been able to find the family of Joseph Evans and his wife Ann Williams and only in the early stages of establishing the Thomas, Lloyd and Humphrey families. Cheers Kay Parsey

Copy of a previous post still looking but need help or guidance.....in researching the family of Anne Evans daughter of Joseph and Ann Evans.
Anne Evans was born 1834 Llangower Merionethshire. She married Edward Davies on 12th August 1854 at the Parish Church Llangower. Anne is listed as 21 a spinster and the daughter of Joseph Evans a laborer of Werdon. Edward Davies is listed as 25 (1829) a bachelor of Cefn Parish of Llangynon his father is Evan Davies a Laborer. Witnesses are John Morris and Rowland Rowlands. I have Anne Evans  census records to 1851 plus Annes and her husband Edward Davies marriage certificate but have found NO trace of them since 1854.
There is a death for a Edward Davies age 28 years who was buried 3 April 1857 Middle Lane Denbighshire. Could be a link??

I have found the marriage certificate for Joseph Evans b 1810 Llanuwchilyn Merionethshire
who married Ann Williams b 1812 Llanuwchilyn in Sept 1833 at Llanuwchilyn Merionethshire.
Ann Williams b 1812 Llanuwchilyn father is Robert William(s) b 1785 Llanfawr. I believe the mother to be Ann? Robert Williams b 1785 is noted in the census as having two children Ann b 1810 and Catherine b 1821 both born Llanuwchilyn.
I feel that Robert Williams first wife Ann may have died young and R W may have remarried and his second wife also died young as there is no spouse mentioned in the census for Robert Willams who incidentally was living with his daughters in the different census. Robert Williams died 1865 Llanuwchilyn.
Anne Williams b 1812 married Joseph Evans and Catherine Williams married John Richards. Hoping that someone may be able to help me with Robert Williams marriages.

Thank you Gadget for the imput. I found the Cadwaladr name in other family lines but not sure of my research. I feel that I have come to the end of the line for Joseph Evans and his wife Anne Williams maybe until more direct information is known.
The Calwaladr name appears in the line of Margaret Thomas daughter of Humprey Thomas and his wife Elizabeth Lloyd??,
