Wiltshire Completed Lookup Requests / Re: GODDARD Bapt c1743 M.Lavington ?

No Goddard baptisms at Market Lavington until 1786 - that's a Joseph, son of the Joseph you are seeking info on.

Any chance the Goddards were Quakers? That was a strong outfit in the Lavington area.

Hi there

Can I just add what I have already suggested - that the marriage was not at Market Lavington. It just doesn't appear in records at all.

Best of luck

Wiltshire Lookup Requests / Re: Easterton Parish records

Hi there

I'm five years late with a reply, but who knows, you might still see it.

There were no baptisms at Easterton in 1780. Easterton was then a tithing of Market Lavington. Baptisms started in 1875 at Easterton

Cheers

You have your information, but for the record, Easterton was a tithing of Market Lavington in 1818.

Wiltshire / Re: HOBBS family - Littleton, West Lavington

Hi

There are Hobbs buried in Market Lavington churchyard and the cemetery in the village as well. I have recorded some on my website at http://www.lavington.site90.com/lavington/index.html. I have records for Market lavington where we have a village museum of which I am the hon curator. sadly, we don't cover West Lavington.

We have numerous photos etc concerning members of the Hobbs family in the museum. If you want further information then do contact me - there'll be an email address on the above website.

Cheers

Hi

I'm not fast with this kind of contact. Try me on rogfrost at gmail dot com

As well as the church grave yard there is a parish cemetary. I have no records for this but I dare say if I walk round it I'd find a stone if there is one.

Cheers
