cheers for that!i just presumed because it didnt say he was deceased and gave his profession that he must be alive, so complicated tracing back! still not sure if they are my family though as dates dont seem to match(ages) are ther any on the 1841 census? thanks again,c lancy

hiya, thanks for your help, both fathers james and charles are alive on the marriage certificate in aug 1852,charles is 20 and emma is 22 and the witnesses are william and mary ann perry.I have found a possible  match for emmas birth in april 1830, christened at st.martins church(centre of brum)hope some of this helps, thanks ever so much for your time,and sorry if you get this more than once, computer is playing up,thanks again,clancy

hiya, looking for help with look ups in the 1841/1851 census, two families as follows;
  Emma Barker daughter of Charles Barker( glazier) and Thomas Barton son of James Barton (Occupation something like "grinder", very hard to read certificate).they lived in Birmingham,possibly in "Lancaster street"or in the st.stephen area, any help will be greatfully received,many thanks

sorry to reply late to an old topic, only reason i am is that in another post you mention your great grandfather was called White, i just wondered if he might be realetd to my great grandfather, i know its a slim chance but i felt i should see, my great grandfather was Arthur white, his dads name was Thomas white and his mothers Harriet Bowen, please contact me if we are related

Im looking for Thomas Barton(head of house) wife Emma and son Charles , could be more siblings????in 1859 when charles was born they were living in lancaster street, which i presume is Aston?thanks for your time,Clancy.
