Dear Alan (BartyB),

Thanks so much for your response of 12th September.  Am sorry for not keeping in touch with the website, swallowed up a bit here in Sydney and am currently selling house and packing up.

Our connection seems firm between the brothers William and Abraham, so I am glad we can welcome each other as cousins.

William was transported in the 1830s for 14 years, afterwards becoming a tailor in Maitland, NSW and marrying Rachel Nieto from the prominent Sephardic Jewish family of London's East End.  She had travelled out as a freewoman to be a governess for her sister and brother-in-law, who was William's master.

Will keep an eye out for things about Abraham.

Regards,
Virginia

We would like to find descendants of William QUICK'S siblings, only one of whom we know came to Australia, ie. John.  We would love to find further cousins if they are out there.

We posted a note on the Events page about the next QUICK reunion in 2011.  This will mark the 200th anniversary of William's birth.

Seeking information on William Frank MORRIS and Mary Charlotte MORRIS,b. 1930s West Ham,  children of Frank MORRIS and Blanche CRAWFORD.

I am descended from Blanche's brother, David Bennett CRAWFORD, and correspond regularly with descendants of her other brother, William Robert CRAWFORD.  I would like to know if I have other cousins!  Our Crawford ancestry is well researched back to Greenock, Renfrewshire

Regards,
Virginia

Thankyou for your reply.  Yes, there is a  Renfrewshire connection which is well documented.

We are interested in finding possible cousins in Australia who are descended from Archibald.

Regards,
Virginia

Interested to hear from anyone who is researching Archibald McNair Crawford b. 1893 London, who migrated to Australia in the 1920s.  He was the cousin of our late grandfather, David Bennett Crawford, b. 1889 London, who migrated to Sydney in 1910.

Hoping to hear from you,
Virginia

Looking for anyone researching three QUICK brothers:  James b. 1813, Thomas b. 1817 and Abraham b. 1820 and possibly their sisters Mary Ann and Eliza, all born in Uplowman.   They are the siblings of my great great grandfather, William b. 1811, who was transported to Australia in 1832, and John b. 1815, who migrated to Melbourne.

Hoping to hear from you,
Virginia
