Ooh yes, that really does look like it!  And the name fits as well. I actually thought it was the building on the right, the white one, but I found another photo ofvthis older one x

Update - thanks for all the help, we have now found what we were looking for. This forum rocks!

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. We've come across these photos of the Meads Hotel in Chepstow, but we cant work out where they are. Can anyone place them in modern day Chepstow please?
I keep getting directed to St Pierre, but I have a second photo with 2 buildings, the one on the right looks more like Piercefield Manor.
Thank you

 Thank you both.

My GGG grandfather, Mark, was born in Thornbury.

The marriage you have, William Brain and Elizabeth Ann is the couple who lost their son Samuel (showing aged 6 weeks on the 1891 census that ColC has found.)

Perhaps this is the wrong branch of the family but the connection to Gloucestershire and the West Country is accurate for my family.

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / 1891 census in Newport

I'm trying to find out if a family named Sheppard are related to my ancestors of the same name.
William and Elizabeth Ann Sheppard lived in 6 East Usk Road in 1895. They lost several of their children (Samuel in 1895, and also Henry, Martha, Mary Ann and Florence Maria between 1888 and 1898). In 1901, the family were living at number 11 East Usk Road.
If anyone could find them, I'd like to know if there were any other siblings which may be related to me, notably Mark (b 1824), Sarah Ann (b 1824), Celia Annis/Annie (b 1827), Hester Anna (b 1830), May Eliza (b 1833) and Betty Susan (b 1834).
Mark was my GGG grandfather.
Thank you 😊

Thanks Maddy, I'm sure they have found these. Just  shame there's no photo online.  :)
