Hi my family name is Heyes and I am related to James there are a number of james,s in the family. The family came from rainford and if you go back further you will find that james was the son of John &mary Heyer name having been spelled wrong. James was born in 1831. If it is the correct James let me know and I will be able to tell you more.

Hello Angela,
I know what you mean .I brought two of my wifes relatives together, one of them thought his grandad had died in the first world war and he died in 1987.
Took me two years of research to find that branch of my wifes family. Anyway best of luck, I will show her your info, she married a greenhalgh, I dont think she would know a great deal but one never knows.
