My great grandmother was married to a John Hodgson born Kilnsea in 1865.  They were together in 1891 census in Hull but by 1901 she was with my great-grandfather William Gibbins.  She kept the Hodgson name as they never marry until she married another man John Andrew in the 1930s.

I have no idea what happened to John and would like to find out.

Thanks Jill.  It has cleared that up for me.  Can I confirm it was under Newbridge rather than Hewbridge for my database?

Thanks again.

No he died too young for certificate.  According to his grave stone he died on April 16th 1835  aged 17 years.   It makes sense that he has his mother's maiden name as his middle name so not sure where the Thompson comes from unless he had two  middle names or it is a mistake.  I'm still researching on IGI and 1841 census for explanations and family connections.

The odd thing we have come across is that the youngest son we know of is called John Wilkinson Howbridge at birth but on his grave stone (we found it and took a pic) which he shares with an older brother he is John Thompson Howbridge.  We can't explain the discrepancy since the ages match.  Perhaps just a mistake.

I need to find a death record.  Can you help with that Jill?

Forgot to say I also have census information for them (1841-1901) and in contact from yesterday with another descendant of Jane's.

I have tons of info on the Howbridge line.  We have a whole group of us descendents that are working together on the line.  Send me a private email.  I emailed Liam.  I can answer the marriage question and there are  7 siblings to Jane.

Liam,

I have found another person yesterday looking for the same information who I am now in contact with.  I have sent you a personal PM if you would like information about the rest of the Howbridge line.
