Hi Heather

Esther's birth and death details....Esther Magill
1915–1980
BIRTH 21 MARCH 1915 • 76 Weir St, Glasgow
DEATH 5 SEP 1980 • Arbroath Infirmary, Arbroath

Esther's parents were James MaGill and Catherine Morrison Rooney.

Esther married my Uncle David Smith McKinlay McEachran and they had seven children and lived in Glasgow. I am sure I have a picture of Aunt Esther. Three of their children are still living.

Hi Joy

Just got a message from Lyn today to say you come from the James Fargie / Mary Moir line.

My bloodline comes down from their son William who married  Elizabeth Moubray,

My GGF was their son James (born 1830) who married Euphemia Haldane Sutherland - their daughter Euphemia Fargie (born 1864) was my Gt Grandma who married George Preston.

Hi

I have been researching the Mathers from Provanhall in Easterhouse and they had cousins who owned Balloch farm in the Smithyston area of Cumbernauld.

Have not found any links to a Thomson and the ones that I have found died before the 1950's.

Hi JC

From what I can remember a few years ago when talking to Margaret...I think it was a Light Grey suit as it was bought with a ration book.

Hi

Sorry for not reponding earlier.....Father in Law loaded with the flu.

I have asked him for the photo again so that I can rescan following the guidelines for the 300dpi that hippy sent the link for...Many Thanks.

Terry....what a great job ...sorry for all the trouble....new to scanning photo's....Many Thanks.

It is a really lovely photo....John really like that one of him and Margaret...sadly Margaret died in 2002 just after they celebrated 59 years married.

Hope to get the photo tomorrow as he is feeling a bit better as he is out his bed for a few hours.

Once again

Many Thanks

Tina
