Hi
I also have a William and Henrietta Edwards(James) in my tree.
They had a daughter Elizabeth(1893) married my granduncle James
Savage in St.Patricks,Belfast,1915.

James Savage was a messenger/postman.Possibility that was how
the two met.

Hi Weechaz,

Need to get one more post from you so that we can PM.
Just hope that I can help you in some way.

You said that your dad was not from Stranraer, but are you
living there?

The wifes father knows that some of the Lowes moved to Ayr in the 50's.

Regard

Hi Weechaz,

I have approx 70 Lowes in my tree,42 of which are from Stranraer.
I also have 40 Allisons,again from Stranraer.

The wife and I reckon the guy in the middle of your photo is a Lowe as he has a striking resemblance to her father.

Unfortunately, the father in law lost contact with the Stranraer side of the family when his father died in 1963 and the last record for an Allison that I have is a death in 1946.

Keep posting Weechaz then if you want we can PM.

Regards
Brian

Have sent you a PM.

Forgot to ask if you had an address in Muckamore for your ancestors.
Dunadry Road, where the church is located has been extensively developed over the past few years but there are still quite a few old houses in the area.

You can find photos of the area at

Hi MJD,

The Old Muckamore Presbyterian church was demolished a few
years ago. It was deemed to be in such a bad state of repair
that it was found to be cheaper to renew than repair.

I have a contact who is going to try and get photos for me so
hopefully I can forward them to you.

 In the meantime try the following;
