Hi there. My wife's tree also has branches in Eskra. O'hagan's,McCarrolls.McCarnie,Doherty,Mulligan,Turbitt et al.
Henry O'hagan b.c1840 of Corkhill married Sarah Doherty. They had at least nine children including:

Elizabeth Margaret aka Lizzie m Matthew Mulligan, and their son,James Joseph, was brought up by a McCarney family,on the death of his mother in 1904.
Lizzie's Obituary reveals that, present at her funeral in Eskra, were brothers Patrick,John and Dennis O'hagan;sisters Mrs McCarney and Mrs Turbitt;uncles Patrick and Felix Doherty;nephews Patrick and Barney Carney,H.McWilliams and J.Turbitt;Cousins Francis,James and Arthur McCarroll,Dennis O'hagan,Joseph Doherty and Mrs Henry McKenna.

If anyone can help me with these families,I would be eternally grateful.
Many thanks,Jim MacGregor.

Hi Anna.I haven't a link from "my" Dougald to "your" Gregor as yet,but I'm still searching.I couldn't find any Marriages of Gregor MacGregor to Sarah Carmichael between 1750-1800 in Lismore OPR's,in Scotland's P. There's a chance that the marriage wasn't registered ,as was many the case pre 1855.Do you have a list of John McGregor's(b.20/7/1789) siblings? If my memory serves me,his brother Dougal b.1800 married Flora Ray and died in America.John also had brothers Malcolm b 1793 and John b 1806 as well as sisters Christian b 1795,Janet b.1797 and Mary b 1804.As I mentioned in my earlier post,I have a Janet Stewart b c1740 married Donald McPhail.Quite a co-incidence? I would have replied directly to your message, but I didn't see the option.Perhaps as I'm a new member,I'm unable to do so.
Regards,Jim

Hi Anna.Hope that your visit to Lismore was fruitful.
I don't have the marriage date of Gregor and Sally, but the first born son that I have is John b.20/7/1789.
My tree stems from Dugald MacGregor b c1757,m.Catherine McColl b c1761.
Children include John b 1792 m Catherine Buchanan b 1796.Both died Achuaran,Lismore.
Would be very interested in your tree and willing to share mine.Incidentally,I too have a Janet Stewart, but married to McPhail.
Regards,Jim MacGregor.
