Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Re: Dorking Surrey -Elizabeth Jane Walter
« on: Monday 20 August 07 12:15 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Liz

I know she was born in Dorking from the 1891/1901 census.

She married a Charles Gaulder in March 1890 in the Camberwell area.  She is listed as Elizabeth Jane F.K. Walter.

Kindest Regards

Sarah

Hello

I am wondering if someone may be able to look up a birth or any other information regarding Elizabeth Jane Walter.  She was born c. 1854 in Dorking Surrey.  I have also discovered from  a census that her mother was also Elizabeth and was born in La Rochelle in France.

This family are later to be found in the Lambeth area of London.

I hope this all makes sense!!!

Kind Regards

Sarah

Hi Loo

Just an idea, but there is a hospital in Frimley Surrey which has been referred to as the 'Country branch of The Brompton'.

I know it was a T.B. hospital and that the pine trees around Surrey Heath were supposed to be theraputic.

Perhaps your rellie may have been in there?

Thankyou so much Meliora for taking the time to look for Frederick.

I really appreciate it.  I have been having trouble locating this family as they remarried and moved across London to various pubs.

Kindest Regards

Would anyone kindly be able to tell me who Frederick Perry b.1880 in Woolwich and living in Deptford was living with on the 1901 census please?  I believe he is listed as a pianoforte maker.

Thankyou.

Peter.....

I have the same thing!!  Lewknor Uphill......  I did wonder if possibly when they were asked where they lived or were born, that the dialect had something to do with it???

i.e. meaning 'I live/was born in Lewknor up the hill'.  I hope this makes sense.....

Who are you researching may I ask??

Kind Regards

As a St. Austell girl, St. Ewe is near Mevagissey.  The Lost Gardens of Heligan are very near to this small village.

Hi there!!

Do you have the death certificate?

If you do, it will give their address, which would narrow down possibly the cemetary you are looking for.

Good Luck

Sarah
