Berkshire / Re: Help needed to find death date
« on: Saturday 17 October 09 23:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I put this under Berkshire as it was Slough, but i see that it was Bucks.  I have posted some of the info before on here. Olive Annie Berry married Henry George Clark in 1900 and they had the two girls BUT on 1911 census Henry is down as widower living in Twyford, Hants and Olive is down as married living with her parents and daughters. Henry then remarried in 1912. We are trying to find out if Olive had died, although the time scale is pretty unlikley. Have no idea what happened to them. Clutching at straws really.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / CLARK family in SOUTHALL

Hi, really need some help please. Tracing  family of Clark with not much info. I am looking for a Henry George Clark, possibly born in Southall around 1869. Father was Richard and siblings Richard, Ester and Minnie. May have connection with a farm in Southall.  All i have managed to find so far is marriage to Ethel Smith in Winchester in 1912 V2c pg 334.  I beleive he was married before, wife died and he travelled around the world. Caught malaria and then married Ethel Smith in 1912.  I have searched on Ancestry but not had any luck, must be doing something wrong.
If anyone would be kind enough to have a look i would be most grateful as its starting to stress me out ! ha ha

HI. LATEST UPDATE IS THAT I HAVE FOUND HENRY GEORGE CLARK ON 1911 CENSUS AS A WIDOWER, BOARDING IN TWYFORD, HAMPSHIRE, SO THIS IS MY MAN BUT I STILL CANT FIND ANY RECORDS FOR HIM FROM WHEN HE WAS BORN. HE WAS BORN IN SOUTHALL, MIDDLESEX 1869......FROM HIS FIRST MARRIAGE HE MAY HAVE HAD TWO DAUGHTERS .I AM ASSUMING I CANT FIND HIM PERHAPS BECAUSE HE WENT TO AFRICA. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME FIND HIM. I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL

Armed Forces / Admiral PULLEN, Wiltshire
« on: Wednesday 16 September 09 12:20 BST (UK)  »
Hi, trying to find an Admiral Pullen in my family tree. according to  family stories he existed but no one seems to know his christian name or who he was related to. I have just received a photo from a relative of a man in a naval uniform but have no idea of name or date or the ship he is on.  It was said that Queen Victoria and Albert dined on his ship which makes it between 1840 -1861 i beleive..if its true of course.
Can anyone give me any ideas how to find out who, where and when my relation Admiral Pullen was.  I have googled Admiral Pullen and found a couple but they don't seem to fit in to the rest of the family history, but then i'm not sure.  Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
My Pullens originate from Sutton Benger and Seagry, Wiltshire.

Hi
Thanks for the advice.  William and Elizabeth were married in 1836 at St Laurence, Foleshill. I know that the witnesses where Mary Atkins and William Smith, but thats all I know.  I can't find another William Hewitt in Foleshill so I am guessing its him and his parents are Thomas and Mary. Not sure how I can be absolutely certain.
