Ladylil, have you ever asked for a lookup for these people on the Cornwall board? The moderator, Krisesjoint, has lots of parish records on fiche and may be able to help.

No I haven't ! Not sure if Peter has. I am just looking through the info that you've kindly put up today.

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been on today, I was too ill ! Feeling a bit brighter now !
Well I'm glad that Peter has joined in, as it was he who gave me the details some that i accidently deleted just before this scavenger hunt.
Thank you everyone for your hard work !
If anyone comes across Annie Bray (pob Illogan,Boscastle, Cornwall )dau. of John Bray + Ann/Nancy Martin 1821 I'd like to know if there was a spanish link.
My Mum always said she was Spanish I haven't found anything to confirm this.
Reading about the mariners + the Martins moving about a lot, made me want to ask!

The closest Nancy baptised at St Keverne I can find is Nancy Pentecost, daughter of Richard and Anne baptised 29/12/1794.

Forget her, she died unmarried in 1834.

Poor thing ! R.I.P.

there is no record of a nancy jenkins born st keverne.

Peter has taken a guess as the most likely family is of a william jenkins married mary tripcony in 1792 in st keverne."

Could this be a lead to Nancy/Ann Jenkins, just wondering !

The one who married Tom Martin.

I was pondering the idea that the Martin marriage may have been a second one of Nancy (and maybe Tom).  If she is born 1790 - 1795, then that makes her 30 - 35 if the Kea marriage is the correct one (big if, I know).  Do we have any proof that her maiden name was definitely Jenkins?
No we don't !

Have been looking at a map of Cornwall to see how far theses places are from one another.
I've also been contacting people on Genes connected but so far no joy !
