Thankyou Sparret

I did start researching a few years back, I'm trying to get back into it.

I do have most of what you have found, I didn't have the info on the accidents, thanks very much for that.

Sorry not clear on what exactly I'm looking for.  I was hoping there might be something out there about Violet's life.  My Dad didn't really know her, and he passed away 2009.  Dad said she died of TB, and  remembered visiting her in hospital or asslyum, then he and his brother went in and out of Burnside Boys home.

I guess she died quite young and there's not a lot about her life.

Thankyou again Sparret
Much appreciated

Australia / PRICE Violet Ann
« on: Wednesday 20 April 11 07:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi there,
My Grandmother Violet Ann Price was born in Maitland NSW 1904, she married John Alfred Jackson in 1924, and she died 1935 in Sydney NSW. Her parents were Arthur Ernest Price and Violet May Price nee Balser.
My Dad was only 4 or 5 when she died, so doesn't know much about her.
I was hoping someone may have a little more information regarding Violet.

Thankyou
Much appreciated

Hello
I was wondering how I might find out when William Shepherd came out to Australia?  e.g with his parents or by himself?

I know he married  Agnes Thorley in 1864, nsw Australia.

Any help would be very appreciated

Thankyou Geoff
All sounds very promising.
If Richard married Ann in 1812, then quite possible our Richard Jackson could have been born in 1813.
Would you be able to find the names of the children born in 1813,1815 and 1818?  Or is there a way I can look them up myself?
Thank you Geoff
Very much appreciated

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / JACKSON Gainsborough Lincolnshire
« on: Monday 16 November 09 07:22 GMT (UK)  »
Hello
I've been looking for the parents of William Richard JACKSON, born around 1812 Gainsborough Lincolnshire.  He married Elizabeth Jane CADBY in 1838 Sydney Austalia.
They had 10 children in Australia one of them was named Robert Naylor JACKSON born 1850.
My friend did some searching on the 1851 census and found...
JACKSON Richard 62 Head Farm Labourer, Kelsey, Lincolnshire, Worlaby Lincolnshire.
NAYLOR Mary 37 Daughter widow Dressmaker Kelsey, Lincolnshire,Worlaby, widow dressmaker.
NAYLOR Charles 6 Grandson scholar Worlaby.
As we can't find any connection to the name Robert Naylor,  we thought maybe... If William Richard kept in touch with family in England, our Robert Naylor Jackson may have been named after Mary's husband. ?????? NAYLOR.
Does anyone know of any avenues how to pursue  this connection or discount it?  Would be wonderful if it was our Richard Williams father and his sister.
Any help would be really appreciated
Thank you
Raina

Hi Peter
Yes I have seen your site, and lots of your research into the Cadby/Jackson family.
I am descended from William Richard Jackson's son, John Jackson, he married Margaret Dutch. John and Margaret had my Grandfather, John Alfred Jackson and then my Dad Alan John Jackson.
I haven't been doing much lately as I have been looking after my Dad for the past 2 years. Sadly Dad passed away August 23rd this year.
This has given me more motivation to find out more about my Dad's family.
Dad came to New Zealand when he was a young man, and we never knew much about his family, he only has one brother.
I absolutely love doing family research.
I would be grateful if you could share any information with me.

Thank you

Raina
