Yes checked it he was 33 at the end of his career in 1905  so prob died around  1935 - 1955 maybe longer

I can not find him in the death reg on ancestry he might of emigrated.

I wonder why he is not in the Cricket Obituaries book then that's strange.

That's him in the census his name is James i don't know were the John comes from strange.

My James John Lynes played for Warwickshire. Although there is allot of information on the web about his cricket games it would be nice to link him to someones tree.

Any One have him in their tree. He Played Professional cricket for Warwickshire First-class span     1897 - 1905  i know he had 2 sons and 1 daughter Reginald who died in the First world war in Belgium. Archibald (Archie) Dont know anything about, and last the daughter Doreen married Frank sweeney in 1924 Dorren might of been a singer.

Lyons Family I think this is right  My great grandfather x4 came from somewhere in the Limerick county  his name was Michael Lyons born 1805 Married To Eliza Dolly around 1832 they move to live in Birmingham and had 2 sons Roger and James they then moved to the Coleshill area but James died at the age of 1.  Roger Lynes married Sarah Peacock of Coleshill and have 4 children Roger,James Played cricket professional for Warwickshire,Rebecca and Eliza.

My surname is Lynes but it might be originally Lyons in Ireland but because of the census taker's mis understanding the surname Lynes,Lines,Lyons,Lyness,Lynn,Lynos.

Any one connected to me
