Would any Birmingham library have the original newspapers Birmingham Mail / Evening Mail from 1946-1950?

Thanks Boo,
"Shock and haemorrhage from wound in throat
SELF-INFLICTED with Butcher's knife.
Suicide whilst the balance of his mind
was disturbed on account of ill-health"
was from the Coroner's Inquest.
Don't think there would be any other info in the Inquest file.

Hi All

Hope someone can help me find any newspaper reports for a suicide in Birmingham

Info I have Ernest Henry Evans
Born 21 Nov 1899 taken from his 1939 census,
from Death reg cert
after Coroner's Inquest dated 14th Aug 1950.

Died 11 Aug 1950 at Accident Hospital,

"Shock and haemorrhage from wound in throat
SELF-INFLICTED with Butcher's knife.
Suicide whilst the balance of his mind
was disturbed on account of ill-health"

Living at 9 Chells Grove, Billsley, Birmingham
Worked as a slaughterhouse butcher.

Family said that he was found in the outhouse by his wife Rose.
And Rose refused to talk about it.

Looking for anything in the Newspapers

many thanks

Thanks Forfarian,
I will search online for Stranraer cemeteries and see what turns up.
If there is anybody on here that knows the area, please let me know.

Maitheson   Aulay      78      McHardy         1887   899/35   Stranraer.

might have been from a familyserch tree?

Sorry for the late reply, thanks Crisane and forfarian.
Just started back onto this tree, my 3xGr grandfather Aulay Mathieson born (McMath) Campbeltown.
I think the 1861c for Grace should be the 1871c as they did not marry until 20th Feb 1863 in Greenock,
So Aulay Mathieson was living with pos son in law Duncan Mcrae,
also I believe that the shop was through his first wife's family of Catherine WEIR, 1825 -1862.
as there is a Alexander and Catherine Weir, po brother and sil living 3 doors down a shoemaker at 59 George Street, Stranraer Wigtownshire on 1871c. Now looking for where are they buried?
