Fortunately for us there are so many other sources of information available today that Rev. Edward St. Leger did not have access too.  We are now very fortunate.  I am trying to establish a link between the main Doneraile line and the Tipperary line.

Update on my recent messages. . .

My St Leger husband has recently taken a DNA test and amazingly he has three separate DNA matches with living descendants of the St. Legers of Heywards Hill line which now proves the link between the St. Legers of Shinrone and  Ballingarry and Borrisokane with the St, Legers of Heywards Hill and back to Ulcombe.

Family History Beginners Board / St. Leger family of Cork and Tipperary
« on: Monday 08 October 18 20:11 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I used to be a member of this group years ago and have now found time to get back to researching my husband's St. Leger family. I think he may now have a connection with the William St. Leger of Ballingarry, who married a daughter of Vilears of Lavally, Queens co., William had four sons : Robert of Shinrone, Richard, Duke and Daniel of Mountmellick. Duke went to sea and eventually settled with his family in Livperpool and its this Duke that I am curently interested in. Does anyone else have connections to this branch?

Wexford / Cranwell/Cranwill of Ballycanew
« on: Friday 27 January 06 16:22 GMT (UK)  »

I am researching my great grandmothers family of Cranwell/Cranwill from Ballycanew.  She was born MARY CRANWELL  about 1855 and married WILLIAM CONNOR(s) and had at least two daughters, MaryAnne and Margaret.  I would welcome contact from anyone else researching these names or any other of the Ballycanew families who were living in the village circa 1800's as I might find connections.

Thanks,

Rose
