The Valuation Revision Book for Larne (1867-1878) shows him still in Pound Road, however his name was then crossed out.

The Larne Reporter of 20th June 1868 carried details of the house on Pound Street being sold by auction, and mentions it was formerley occupied by a Miss Blair and recently by the Rev. W. R. Lynar.

Hugh and Monica may have travelled to Canada in 1957. Dont know if they emigrated.

Possibly Monica's death notice in 2021 (mention of various family members in the messages below the notice):

Have you considered that, in reality, any occupation could be given on a death certificate as no proof of the deceased having been such was sought? Any information on a death certificate was only ever as accurate as the knowledge of the person providing the details.

...and of the other 3 Elizabeth McKeown births in GRONI index for 1919, none of those had a 19th June 1919 birthdate either (and places of birth were Lurgan and Newry).

@Marie Baker, have you possibly mixed up some of the info you have provided in your opening post? Can you double check and post again with any corrections?

His wife  Amelia, died 28th October 1928 as recorded in the Irish Weekly and Ulster Examiner newspaper at the time.

And, possibly his mother Maria, the same newspaper notes the death of a Maria, relict of a John Carroll, at 18 Seaforde Street on February 1st 1939.

Sometimes, when working using the individual's name is getting nowhere, going back over old research and focusing on known addresses can provide a new angle of approach. Searching based on the address/addresses known can, for example, throw up newspaper and/or other references that might ultimately link to the individual or an associate/family member and provide new avenues to pursue.
