In my tree I have Rose's father as Edward John Bessell b.1827 City Road, Hoxton, London he married Rose Anne Turner (b.1828 Kingston, Middlesex) 3 Apr 1849 St Bride's Fleet Street, London.  Other Bessell researchers also have the same father. Edward and Rose had 10 children, do you have their names?

Rose and Alfred Rudgeley had 8 children, do you have their names?

I have Edward John's father, GF, G GF if you need them.

I think the witnesses to Rose's marriage are her brother George b.1849-1895 and his wife Elizabeth (Gill) Bessell

Hi Barbara

Have the family in 1851 census  through 1901 but 1881 missing. Should have mentioned that my Bessell family originated in Mitcham, Surrey but back in the earlier centuries the name was spelled Beswell/Biswell and several variations but when they drifted to London it became Bessell, suppose it depended on how the clerk/priest writing the name down heard the pronunciation of the speaker.
