...gfindlay... My Paternal Grandfather was Joseph Addison of Cullen, Banffshire. A Herring fisherman, he was also a licensed steam engineer and owned and operated the fishing boat 'Shining Star' out of Cullen @ 1920(+/-). He married Georgina Wood of Portnockie and emigrated to Canada, settling in Windsor, Ontario, where Georgina and their two sons (Edwin and MY father George Wood) joined him a year later. They emigrated together as a family to Detroit, Michigan shortly thereafter.
