I will follow up the register entry, from the 1841 census he was in 1805 just outside Middlewich, there appears to be a number of Benbows working as shoe makers in the town but how they are all related I have yet to discover.

Hi Chris
I was fascinated by this thread tells me much about Middlewich.  Could you tell me if you have a record of Thomas Benbow marrying Hannah Faram on the 21st December 1826 at St Michaels and all angels.  I am interested to know the name of Thomas Father.
It doesn't seem to have been a long marriage as there is no mention of Hannah in the 1841 census
