Hi , by any chance at all do you recognise the name "Margarita Terisina Gambardella"? she was born 1 May 1931 to "Francesco Antonio Gambardella" and "Winifred Catherine Smith" in Lewisham London. I have found sources that I can't confirm that she went by the name Rita. She would have been my aunt.  Her mother abandoned her during childhood. My great aunt wrote letters to my mother saying she believed that she stayed with the Gambardella family after being put in an institution. I did find records that I believe to be her at "John Grooms Crippleage" in London. tiff_irving@hotmail.com

Hi Tiffany

I will dig out my research and drop you an email later today. I haven't looked at the tree since early 2010 but I still have it.

Speak soon,

Louis

The William I have was born in Walthamstow. Before that, they seemed to come from around Hatfield, Essex

Hi,

I have Waterman's in my family and i am searching on them. I seem to have a few elusive members in my family. My question is my Great Grandad was William John Waterman but the surname Askew comes into it also but im not sure how. Do you have the surname Askew in your tree/ Some of mine are also from Poplar and areas around.

Joanne

That name does not appear in the line I am researching. All of mine are from Walthamstow from about 1800 onwards. What dates do you have for William John Waterman (birth, marriage etc)

I have found out those bits, I am just hoping that the marriage certificate will give me the names of the fathers. But as I fear one was dead and the other illegitimate, I fear the marriage record wont help...

I looked for a baptism for Charles Henry in the Blackawton registers to no avail. I was planning to go to Taunton to check the baptism records for Bridgwater for Evelyn.

That is the right family

If I were to make a guess, I would think they would have married at St John the Baptist Church in Bridgwater

The problem I am having is that the father was living with cousins in all the previous census' and the mother was living with her mother and her new husband, so I figure the marriage may give me some more to go on.

If this is not the right church, I couldnt make a better guess and I would probably opt to order the certificate, but I dont want to incase the information I am after isnt on there

I am looking for a marriage record for a Charles Henry Bond and Evelyn Jackson Bond registered in 1909.

I am looking mainly for the fathers names, but any information would be appreciated.

Im not sure exactly what church it would have been, but I think they would have been living in Bailey Street if that helps.

Thanks in advance

Ah yes Braudi - Antonio's son has mis-transcribed as Braudi on his birth record

That family is one i believe to be an Uncle to the Antonio i am looking for. They are together on the 1901 census
