Thanks  Monica
Yes I do understand and will try and do better, it is so confusing doing this and it would be a lot harder if there were no forums to get help from. How good you all are.

Thanks Monica
Yes it is good that you had the same findings or I would just have got so confused and it would have been my own fault. Thanks for looking for the rest of the family as you say they could have came over after the father died.

There is a thread for this on TalkingScot...

It's always a good idea to let everyone know you've posted elsewhere, Janice...saves others wasting their time getting you the same information.   :)

Lenagh

Hi
I am doing my husband’s family tree His great grandfather Thomas Wray Hutchison was born Londonderry 1871, he joined city of Glasgow police in 1891, his father Charles died I think in Antrim Londonderry his mother Mary Jane nee Quigg died at 142 Watt st Glasgow on 13/10/1915, his brother Charles  was informant for mother he lived 192 Waddell st Glasgow in 1915. Thomas Wray died 16/5/1952 at 6 Clark st Glasgow it was suicide.  I have a James b 5/11/1865 the year his parent’s married in Londonderry, Mary Anne 18/9/1869, William 17/12/1871, Joseph 17/12/1871, Thomas Wray 1871 (can't find his birth record). William 15/8/1875 (first one may have died) Charles b? (Can’t find his birth record). They are all born Coleraine Londonderry.  Can anybody find them in a census? Am going to Mitchell library next week to look at police records may find out more there.
Any help would be very much appreciated
