Devon Lookup Requests / William Webb OGBOURNE

Hello Jayson,
It appears that William Webb OGBOURNE began having financial difficulties in 1841 and continued all the way through the 1850's. There is a great series of notices about his plight on "The London Gazette" website.
It is one of my favorite resources for official information about any of my ancestors who were in business (and some who were not but are mentioned in wills, etc.) The best part is that the site is free and has a goldmine of info.
You can get there through a Google search for "London Gazette." When you get to their website, just click on "London." At the bottom right of the next page where it says "Archives," click on "Historians." Finally when you get to the search page, go to the bottom and type in "William Webb Ogbourne" in the middle slot where it says "exact phrase." You do not need to put any date limits on this particular search because they all come back with your precise ancestor. Sometimes the scanning is off and you need to try different variations of the spelling, etc., but it is still a great resource.
Hope this helps with his story and your search.
Sarah
