Hi Katie,

No need to apologise. I fully understand that how time slips by. I'm delighted that this is the headstone you were looking for and that I could be of some help. I have no problem with you sharing the photo with anyone else.

The three parishes you mention St Nicholas, St Paul’s and St Luke’s were each Church of Ireland (Anglican) parishes in Cork City. Unfortunately many C of I parish records were destroyed in a fire in the Four Courts, Dublin in 1922. The Four Courts building also housed the Irish national archives. Many, though not all, C of I records were deposited there in the 1870s and as a result were completely lost. For this reason you should continue to write down any details you find, as they may be the only records of these marriages that have survived.
Any records you found would be of interest to local historians and genealogists. You might try the Cork Genealogy Society for advice. Their website is at http://corkgenealogicalsociety.com/index.htm

Cape Clear is part of the Roman Catholic parish of Rath and the Islands. The records for this parish have been computerised by the Skibbereen Heritage Centre. Their website is http://www.skibbheritage.com. The centre charges for lookups the Roman Catholic records they hold.

Hi KT,
Henry Marmion is buried in the old graveyard at Tullagh, Baltimore. I don't know the exact location of his grave or if it is marked. However he is mentioned on the Marmion gravestone at Creagh graveyard. Creagh is located about 4 miles from Baltimore. I have attached a photo of this gravestone, which reads:

In Memory of your grandparents.
Henry Richard Marmion
Died 23 Feb 1896. Age 80
Interred at Tullough
Grace Elizabeth Marmion
Died 22 Feb. 1932. Age 91
Their children
Rose Mary Marmion
Died 9 Sep. 1911. Age 34
Interred at Chamba India
Reginald Pat Marmion
Died 24 July 1935. Age 55
Philip Henry Marmion
Died 28 Aug 1935. Age 61
May they rest in peace

regards,
William Casey
