Hi I have done really well doing my family tree, untill i get to my ggg grandfather Robert Mullen born Ireland but settled in Lanarkshire Scotland, he was born 1833 Ireland married 1849? in Aidrie to Ellen Colligan 1835 also born Ireland,,
Roberts Father also Called Robert married to Mary McQueen both of Ireland,were and how would i go about finding out, exactly were they were from in Ireland, any help would be really appreciated many thanks in advance Rob,

Hi Judith, no we never did get any further,  I got stuck on Robert Wilson, I just know he came to live with his aunt an uncle at age 15 i think, no idea were from etc, any more information on Debbies family would be brilliant,

Hi John thanks for the info and link, hope this gives me a little more on family, Irish on my mothers side was  easier as had details, Doolittles Wicklow, but i did not realise how common Mullen was,i thought having Mullen -McQueen marriage would narrow it down a bit, Ive gone over all my certs in Scotland, again no luck in telling me were, just says born Ireland on most, and Parents were etc, so again thanks for any links and info, fingers crossed on this 1 lol ;)

Thanks  for them links going to have a look tonight, problem i have is not knowing which part of Ireland they are from, I do know they were catholic, dont know if this effects which part they lived in, again thanks for links and reply,

Hi Julie. Robert is my great great great grandfather, im from his eldest son Robert who married a Ann Fisher,, i have most certificates and details if you need any? ;D
