Yes, if George had had a middle name it might have been easier.

Thanks for the extra information - the 1891 could be a possible.

It's interesting that Hugh was recorded twice, rather than it being two different people! Being with his sister helps.

Thanks very much for your help - I'm pleased to have this information.

Thank you very much for all this information Kay99! It does make sense. I don't have access to ancestry. It would be great to see where George in 1881 was as he wasn't with his father, but sometimes we just never get to know.

Thanks so much for spending some time on my query, I appreciate it.

I thought looking for him would be easy, I can't find a suitable birth for George.  :-\

Cheshire / Edwards in Cheshire on census

Hi

I am trying to fill in a few blanks and I'm looking for Hugh Edwards b1839 in Greenfield, Flintshire in Cheshire somewhere on the 1871 census. His wife was Elizabeth bc1841, and she was born in Chester, Cheshire. He worked on boats so he may be seperate to his wife, but I am hoping they are together.

Thanks for any help in locating him/them.

I've got her death cert now. It says she was living at 1a Shepherdess Walk, Shoreditch, of no occupation. I'm wondering how she lived with it saying no occupation. A hospital superintendent was the informant, which doesn't surprise me.

Would it be worth getting her death cert? I am not really expecting to see a recognisable informants name as she died in hospital.

Thanks for the possibles, even if unlikely. She did have devon connections, as her mother was born there.

Hooray!!!!! Bingo!!!!  So made up now lol. Thank you so much for confirming rosie99 -  I have been looking for years for her. What a find  ;D

That is just brilliant!!!!

I had thought she'd died young, as I couldn't find her on the 1911 or the 1921.  This is one of my brick walls, or should I say - was!

Absolutely Brilliant!!!

And thank you for the extra info

So she didn't marry and ended up in the workhouse infirmary. So sad. She was all on her own.

Thank you so much!!!!

And thank you very much for the extra information, it is so very much appreciated. I'll be looking at the details : )
