Sorry, my mistake. Should have been brian@bucknall1.eclipse.co.uk

Since you sent this at 04.00 UK time I have concluded you are either a long way away or suffer from insomnia!

Hello Michael,
I'll be glad to hear from you. But I resolved Agnes Frome some years ago. Do you know that her son, Paul, died in July aged 97?

Hello Garstonite - I suspect they are related - the Humphrid is too like Humphrey to be disregarded.
So I will take a look at the site. But proving beyond doubt may be impossible. In those days most people couldn't spell so the parish clerk who entered the names would have spelt them as he saw fit. Bear in mind dictionaries had yet to be published.
Thank you for your interest. BGB

Hello Kit,

You seem to be on the right lines! I should be happy to email you my findings on the Banks - one of them, Mary Banks, married my greatgreat grandfather James Bennett in 1839. But to do this I will need your email address. Mine is brian@bucknall1.eclipse.co.uk

Thanks WB54. I did try the County via Amazon and Family Search without success. If you are able to find something I should be interested. Good luck in Belfast. BGB

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: Humphrey & Susanna Banks

Hello Alberbury,
Sadly, I do not have marriage dates of Humphrey Banks (b.1629) and Ursula (although c.1648) nor seemingly their grandson Humphrey (b.c.1670) who married Susanna c.1695). It is possible the Humphrey born 1650 is the one who married Susanna but if it were him he would have been aged 45 so unlikely.
This was my dilemma - son or grandson. In my family history book I have said it could be either because no baptism record found for grandson Humphrey.

Hello WB54 and Alberbury,
Thank you for your kind responses in respect of the Banks family. I think I have got them sorted out now.
Kind regards

Hello - it happens my late greatgrandfather Theophilus Edward Bucknall (1851-1929) was a churchwarden of All Saints, Hockley, in the earlier part of the1900s. I don't know the precise dates. He brought a large family who filled a rented pew. There was always a major family reunion on All-Saints Day.
My grandparents married there.
