He had previous convictions and for this one was transported to Western Australia  for 6 years. He arrived per vessel "Norwood" on 9.6.1862. Received his Ticket of Leave 7.4.1863 and was certified free 24.10.1868. He worked at Albany, Perth, Plantagenet as a Laborer, wood cutter, general servant and brickmaker. He did not marry or at least I can't find a marriage for him and he died in Perth 11.6.1916 aged 93 years. He is buried in Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth in the Anglican Portion, Section E C, Grave No 0227.  Their were 2 other convicts with the name of LOVERIDGE, John & William- Hope it helps- Roser

Hi Cathay, silly me I suppose it would have helped had I posted it. Now, I couldn't find Joe KEFFORD but I found this one. KEFFORD William (No 750) born 1826- unmarried farm laborer, convicted at Bedford 17.10.1848, transported 7 years. Arrived per vessel "MINDEN" 14.10.1851. Ticket of Leave 14.10.1851. Conditional Pardon April 1854.  There are not any Birth, Death or Marriage entries for this man or any Kefford in Western Australia, so I think that he would have returned to England. Convicts with low numbers were very sort after because they mostly committed  nothing more than a misdomemar - Roser

Hi Steve & Rebekahm- In reply to your Post. My Rom Grt Grt Grand mother was Diana(h) Wilson . I think she was from Kent. She married William Roser/Rosaire and came to Western Australia in 1842 per "Simon Taylor". They brought their children and had a few more here in W.A. I located them with their family on the 1841 census for East Grinstead Common. This was the year before they came to Australia. Can you help me at all with the Wilson family. I know very little about them in UK. I do know that the Wilson's were Fair Ground people and the connection to the Rosaire & Guess family is shown on the Wilson Family Tree site on the net. I would appreciate any help and names that you could give me. Apart from this site you can contact me on
