Hi Bruce,

Many Thanks for your kind offer.

Would you mind having a look for anything relating to Peter McEwan and Janet McNab.  They were married at Muthill on 10 March  1799.  My 3x GGrandmother, Margaret McEwan was born around 1801, but I have nothing on an exact date or on any siblings.

Many Thanks,

Hi Bruce...Im a bit interested in the info you may have provided to Christine Re - Janet McNab..?
Sorry to be greedy but I am interested in any McNabs from Muthill - I have a direct connection to John McNab & Janet Clark had 9 children, Helen, Betty, Margaret, Alexander, John, Janet, William, Ann and her twin Isabella some possibly registered at Muthill 1800 - 1830's.

Yours in hope that someone has returned your generosity...if you need any Australian info let me know...
Christina McNab

Christine.

Dave, thanks for your contact - sorry its taken me so long to reply, Ive been away.

It is likely that we have a family connection - just not sure how at this time.  Forteviot isnt huge and there were lots of us there.  Robert isnt a name that is in my family line - we have lots of Williams, Johns, Janets & Isabella's.  Keep in touch...

Regards

Christina

John,

The info on Alexander is amazing!!! The names of his children would dictate  at this time that he is indeed my Alexander.  I cant thank you enough!

Im stunned!  You have been incredibly generous with your time - Thank you!
I will start on immigration info asap.

I have been stuck for so long - Thank you so very much!

John,
I am so thrilled to receive your email.  Thanks so much for taking the time... yes its all correct.  You have done well.  I'm just so stuck, not sure of where next ? Too many McNabs and too any Johns , Williams etc

I have all McNab info from the time they arrived in Australia - that was the easy bit.  Not sure if others left Scotland for Canada etc at the same time as William & Isabella but I cant find the rest of them anywhere... John & Janet and the rest of their kids.  There is a John McNab born forteviot 1765 - that I thought may be my John Snr.  It looks likes he is the son of William McNab and possibly Elspeth Donaldson. (again speculation and hope?)

I was hoping some long lost relative with all the answers would email me - my hope is fading.

Really great to get a response, any idea's greatly appreciated - Thanks!!!!

Im stuck, lost and becoming rapidly disheartened....

I would appreciate any help or infomation about;

John McNab m Janet Clark at Killin church Nov 30 1800. They had 9 children, Helen, Betty, Margaret, Alexander, John, Janet, William, Ann and her twin Isabella. All Christened in either Forteviot or Tibbermore, Perthshire.

William married Isabella Sinclair, moved to Dundee, had a family and immigrated to Australia in 1852 aboard the 'Flora'. I have a solid history of this and the subsequent McNab's in Australia but not about what became of the other siblings and parents - John & Janet.

Looking forward to any assistance...
