Thank you all for such speedy replies.
Yes ShaunJ, sadly that is my uncle 'Ron' as I knew him. I was only a young child at the time and was coming in from school when this happened in our garden shed.
He was the kindest, loveliest of men. Unfortunately I come from a family who never talked about things but I clearly remember to this day this terribly sad incident.

Hi everyone
I have Cyril A Williams b. Q2.1926 Southwark, mother mdn White. I know Cyril married Phyllis Page in 1951 Wood Green and died in 1953 Epping.
This is the total of what I know so I am hoping some kind person can shed light on his parentage. Searching for Williams/White marriages in prior years has totally confused me, so many ,so fingers crossed someone can point me in the right direction.

I am totally in awe of all you beautiful, clever people. Oddly I thought I had seen and saved the 1901 census record but couldn't find it again, I think I got caught up in trying to find her in 1891 presumably with her father. This certainly appears to be our missing Ethel and I am so gratefull to you all for taking the time and to help. :)

A bit of a mystery for me here so hope some one can help clear this for me.
I have Ethel Ellen born Sept. Q of 1881 in Stanstead . She was baptised 25 Sept. 1881 Christchurch Ware, her parents were James W Webb and Annie (mdn Tillcock) who were married 23 Jan 1881 Grt. Amwell.  Now Annie died and was buried 3 Sept. 1881 and several trees have Ethel also dying 1881 but I cannot find a death/burial for her.
Have tried finding her father in 1891 to see if Ethel was with him but no luck thus far.
James W Webb b. c.1858 Herringfleet Suffolk, remarried 1890 to Mary had a new family and died 1918 Derbyshire.
