Hi,

Firstly Deb, thank you for taking the time to post I appreciate it.

Barbara, what you have found appears to be right, the fact that the 'w' was dropped on the spelling on the marriage certificate is understandable and Rowland occupation lines up also with the marriage certicate.

I appreciate the effort you have put in to helping me

Lastly could you please let me know where you found out about the information about the vessels

Again Barbara thank you for your help

Kind Regards

Paul

Hi Barbara,

thank you for replying,

Roland was what I thought that it could be but was not sure. Have not been able to find any Roland Roberts anywhere?

Richard occupation was a sailor, on his son Richard's Marriage Cartificate it list his occupation as being in the merchant navy.

Witness at the wedding are as attached Rachael Wollcock, she married Loveday's brother at a later stage so I assume they we probably good friend and another person possibly surname of Pope but I am not to sure.

Again thank you

Regards

Hi,

I am trying to find out more information about my 2G Grandfather Richard Roberts. According to his marriage certificate he was 22 when he married Loveday Trudgian Ellory in Dec 1862. On the marriage cert. it shows his father's name but I am unable to work out what it is, so I am hoping that someone will be able to help. The marriage cart is too large to attach so I have attached the section with his father's name ( I can e-mail full copy if someone thinks they can help )

I am after any inforamtion regarding Richard or his father

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards

Paul
