Maloney families in SW Donegal were clustered around Ardara, Crove and Carrick (in the Parish of Glencolumbkille).  There was a James Maloney married to a Susan Sweeney living in the townland of Aughera in the Teelin/Carrick area, but they had children between 1866 and 1885.  This Susan was from the townland of Staleel in Glencolumbkille.

If you found the parents of the Mary Maloney you mention, post a reply.

Donegal / Re: Ballymore in Glencolumbkille Parish

The Ballymore that you are looking for is indeed in the Parish of Glencolumbkille, close to the town of Carrick.   Ballymore (An Baile Mor) is shown on the Donegal Discovery series Map #10 just to the west of Carrick.

The Glencolumbkille Parish stipend listing that was written in 1878 shows Condy Gillespie married to Bridget Curran with children Mary (1/2 years of age in 1878) and Margaret.  Margaret is listed in the Civil Birth records for the Registrar's District of Carrick as being born 5 Dec 1879.  Margarets name was written in the stipend after 1878.

Condy's parents are listed as James Gillespie and Margaret Boyle and Condy has a brother John listed as 25 years of age.

The birth certificate that you have should state that the Superintendent-Registar's District is Glenties.
