There was a 1891 census but did not know who you where looking for or what.
I am sure some one on here will know a lot more.
Hope this helps a bit

Hi again
I seem to be confusing every one
I have not got william and Harriets marriage cert all info from Josephs birth and wedding cert, maybe I should just get marrige cert of harriett and william.
Your right all these Williams make you dizzy.
It was hard because I had never found him on a census with Harriet.
And I must hold my hands up to not seeing she was a widow in 1871, lesson to be learnt read every thing twice.
When Joseph was born living at 92 James street in Jan 1860
seems they live in and around stoke dam through out.
    regards dodo50
ps Thank you all so much

Hi I am looking for a baptisum for William Henry Burt, on census (abt 1828).
I have only ever found him on 1 census 1861 if he is the right one.
He is named on my g/grandfathers birth cert with his wife Hariett, William was in the royal navy on a ship called Bouncer then in 1888 he was on  my g/ grandfathers marriage cert as mariner.
I am trying to find out who his mother was and if he had any siblings.

« on: Sunday 08 February 09 14:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Canada Rootschatters.
Hoping someone out there can cast some light for me,or point me in the right direction.
I have been looking for any info on Cecilia Kirk dob 1907 Stirling have birth cert,at some point the family moved to Glasgow It was after 1901.Then In 1934 Cecilia sailed to Quebec on the Athenia,I have looked every where for her.I dont know If she stayed in Canada or went over the boarder to America?
In Glasgow she was a domestic in the hospital and is listed the same on the ships manifest.
I am wondering if she married and thats why I cant find her.
She is my grand dads sister and the last sibbling left to gather info on.
Many thanks in advance for any help I may gain from this.

Hoping some one out there can point me in the right direction.
This is what I know Joseph James Spurrell dob March 1892 Plymouth Devon, in 1905 he joined the navy,I think he lied about his age.I have his navy papers and it says dob 1888.But every thing else is right,he went all over the world but at some point jumped ship and ended up in USA.He married a lady out there we know this as I am in contact with his granddaughter. He left her nan with 3 young children and went to California were he married again, we think he was also married in England! The storey goes her nan reported him to the navy and he got transported back to England.
The question is where can i find information on what happened to him after he got back.I have looked for a death cert but cant find one that fits him.
We would like to find an end to this part of the family tree.
Thanks in addvance for any help and hope I have put this in the right place
                 regards dodo50
ps the dates ars between 1919 and 1939 when he jumped ship to being brought back.
