Thanks Trish,
Mum's father was Henry Ogle b. 1879, his father was Robert Wilson Ogle, his father was Robert Wilson, his mother was Elizabeth Ogle although they never married. Elizabeth Ogle's mother was Elizabeth Ogle also unmarried, Elizabeth Ogle's father was George Ogle husband of Ann.
I can't get any further back than these.

My mother Edna May Ogle was born in Blyth, and having just come back from a holiday at Howick,am having another go at tracing her family tree,
is there anyone researching this family?

If you look on the <communities. northumberland.gov> website some of the bastardy orders are shown.
I was luckey enough to find by G.Grandmother Elizabeth Ogle in there, she had a child by Robert Wilson, farmer of Hermitage Farm Birling which makes him my G.Grandfather!

Hi Maud,
yes it is post 1901, we have the census up to 1901, John was born in Marylebone Middlesex.
On his birth certificate his mother is down as Amy Isabel Wickham.
We have considered that she did not marry either Charles or John but at every turn we hit a blank and we are hoping someone can See something that we have missed
