I have been able to install the FH Resource File Viewer on my Windows 7 PC but cannot seem to add a Resource File, e.g. the British Vital Records Index.  I get a "Run-time error 5" message.  Hope someone can help!

Thank you!

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Occupations - 1841 Manchester
« on: Saturday 27 May 06 04:10 BST (UK)  »
I'm told that the abbreviation "M.S" in the Occupation column means "Male Servant".  However, on the census page I'm looking at (Piece 577/18, Folio 28), it appears that almost every male "Head of Household" is a "M.S.", which I find a little odd.  Alternatively, could this abbreviation have anything to do with the mining industry?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 Street Index
« on: Thursday 25 May 06 03:53 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking for a very common name in the 1841 census for Lancashire.  To help me narrow my search, I was wondering if anyone has the Piece number and ideally, the Folio numbers, for Butler Street in Manchester?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Hi, Lisa!  I honestly don't know.  All I know is that the only child I have for George PARKIN was born in Gainsborouh abt. 1803.  I have no idea at this time where he was born or if he had other children born elsewhere.

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / Buckinghamshire Marriages
« on: Sunday 12 March 06 16:29 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for a marriage between Richard MARTIN (or MARTEN, MARTYN) and a Rachel Hannah or Hannah Rachel (surname unknown).  Their first child (as far as I know) was baptized in Shenley, Buckinghamshire in 1822, so I suspect their marriage occurred some time between 1818-1822.

Thank you.
