Megan,

Seems we may not have a match,  my Farrell's are Francis born around 1801 Ireland married to a Jane McGrudden.  They had a had daughter named Jane born 1827 Ireland.  Jane married a Patrick Brannan on 10/27/1849 in Stevenson, Scotland.  I also have a Rosie Farrell married to a John McVey who would have been Patrick Brannan Grandmother.  I have yet to tie the Farrell families together.

Again the O'Neill's were married to the Brannans and came to the US in 1906 and stayed in Illinois.  The first round of O'Neill's was James born 1873 Coatbridge, Scotland to a Susan Brannan born 1871 Stevenston, Scotland.  Susan being Patrick's sister from above.  James O'Neill's father again James was married to a Sarah Kelly of unknown orgin at this time. I got the parents name from James and Susan's marriage record.  I have another set of Kelly's beginning with James Kelly married a Mary Devine Ireland both born around 1810 or a little earllier.  They had 2 sons I know of Constantine and Patrick born in Ireland between 1838 and 1848 in Donegal, Ireland.  I am sure they had more children but have not found any yet.  Patrick married Elizabeth Kennedy In Fife and Constantine married a Alice Hannawen 1870 Ruterglen. Scotland.

My McMahon was a Catherine and born around 1840 in Ireland.  Her mather was Agnes Kelly and Patrick McMahon.  She never married but did have 2 boys James and John out of wedlock.

Seems we have a bunch of names close but maybe a generation away.  I will keep your info and if I found some closer links to the people I will give you a shout.  that is unless you find something first.

Megan,

Seems we are researching many of the same Surnames, O'Neill, McMahon, Farrell and Kelly.  Where in the US did they head to.  Mine begin either in Alabama or Illinois and then spread out.  The O'Neill's and McMahon both married Brannan sisters.  Give a shout back if we have a possible match.

Dennis
