Somerset Lookup Requests / Re: Desperate to find Rachels mother!
« on: Monday 27 June 05 17:38 BST (UK)  »
Hello Margaret,
I'm so sorry-I've no idea why I decided to look up Jane Chinnock-put it down to my age.
I've found Rachel, but I don't think it will help you much:-
1841 HO 107/963/3
Ditcheat
Edith Bennett,60
Martha Painter,60
Rachel Chinnock,20.
They all say 'yes' to being born in  the county. No occupation is given for any of them. They all live together, but the only address given is Ditcheat.
Cheers
Sue.

Hi Jackie,
THis was the only possible Carter family I could find in the 1841 census for Paulton that might be yours:
Paulton. HO 107/939/18

George Carter,38,Coal Miner
Jane Carter,30.
Elizabeth Carter,8
Joseph Carter,6.

Hope its of use
Sue.
