Many school records will not have survived (and it seems it might have been so in this case). There were some teacher registrations but they were not mandatory and I did not find Harriet there.

Was this at Savernake Road, Hampstead?  www.historicaldirectories.org shows that in 1891 it is descripted as Victoria High School for Girls (with mixed kindergarten class), in 1896 Miss Wilkin was hon. director.  By 1910 it appears to have moved to 31 Pond Street.

Has anyone any old records of this school? It has long since gone.
My interest is in a teacher Harriet Coe in late 1800's early 1900's.

In 1798 JOSEPH COE married Elizabeth Skinner in Bury St Edmunds.

In 1814 at the Christening of son  Charles Skinner Coe at St Martin in Fields JOSEPH is described as "Gentleman" living in Little St Martins Lane.

In 1818 he is described as Cordwainer, living in same place.
Do any Directories etc exist for this period and earlier that could help me find out more?

Later Directories show that the 2 boys (Christened) manufactured Boots and Shoes in Oxford St London, and lived at 404 Oxford St. London

That is ALL I can find of Joseph. Has anyone any ideas please?
