Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Neale's of Newington and bermondsey area
« on: Friday 10 April 09 19:19 BST (UK)  »
Hi i am looking for a baptism for a william Neale he could have been born apx 1800. His occupation was as a bricklayer. He married  i think a rebecca Wilks/wicks  st marys Newington so i am prusumming that he was born in this area.  They had a son called thomas 1827c born newington who was also a bricklayer and a daughter called louisa. both thomas and louisa married siblings, frances (fanny) Byford in 1851 christcurch southwark. and alfred Byford in 1842. I have not been able to find any other siblings or the above baptisms ect.  Thomas and fanny had my gt x2 grandmother emiliy Neale in 1861  in bermondsey and fanny had a daughter born in 1851 at bermondsey workhouse called caroline. Thomas has caroline stated as a Neale on the 1861 census returns living at st stephens sq southwark. after this i havent been able to find them on any census returns apart from emily on the 1881 . if any anyone has any Neale info on these peole and the area please get in touch, many thanks
