thank you  Forfarian , I do understand completely regarding Ancestry,   it turns out Kay was correct with the marriage she found,

Mary Campbell Baird b 1925   Possilpark Glasgow and Richard John Fe..? Hughes b 1918   St Rollox District Glasgow
and on phoning a family member they confirm it as correct, , so  just need to wait for christmas to be over with then send for the records ,  thank  you and Kay,

yes, his medals would have been posted to his next of kin, most never recived them till 1920-21,  they would have his regiment he went over with stamped on them the M G C  54924 ,this is listed first on his medal index card indicating thats who he went over with , he is listed  on the cwgc deaths as 
PRAGNELL, ERNEST R.
Private  25385
Date of Death:  03/12/1917
Age: 33
Regiment/Service: Hampshire Regiment 2nd Bn.

FREDERICK is the last of my family to die serving in the armed forces, his grandfather also a Frederick died in ww1, any help greatly appreciated, regards Tony

problem is Katie could have married anywhere  ???
 I am certain its Rodaway, but unable to find anything  on ancestry I dont have a world subscription,
this record matches the 1901 census, and links the 2 records , its from ww1 army pension records,for joseph Hickey, and dated on his discharge 1915, 
 Tullamore Urban, King's Co. Ireland was a military town,
